REALLY??? why is it that from the second year of high school people..... YOUNG PEOPLE...... are expected by SOCIETY to know what they want to do when they are FORTY!
people ask the question alll the time "what do you want to be when you grow up" and they ask it so frequently that it becomes a mind set in the young people that they think "ohh snap, ive been asked this question for the past 16 years of my little puny little life that.. hmmmm... maybe i should take it seriously" and "maybe my 15 year old brain has gathered enough wisdom to plan out my entire life"
come on people! do you really think TV brain washes civilization? its ME its YOU its your BEST FRIEND we all corrupt each other!
now really... putting things in perspective... maybe having a GENERALIZED idea of what you wanna do is a good thing... but friends... its a general idea
i asked my 8 month old niece what she wanted to be when she got older.... she looked at me.. pooped her pants.. and banged pots and pans together because they made noise!
i started laughing because i thought it was so cute (minus the poop part)
we need to just take one giant chill pill =)
there is this man i know pretty well now... known him all my life actually.... i guess hes a pretty cool guy, kinda old... he can walk on water tho, which i think is pretty cool... and the whole thing he did with the wine at the party... well... lets just say being 21... I'm a wine connoisseur.... (just kidding)...
what my point is... there is a passage in the bible (for all you who didn't know i was describing Jesus.... i was describing Jesus.... =) now you know) that talks about your purpose in life.... kinda like the metaphor "if god gives you lemons, make lemonade"... almost exactly like that actually... although it reads "if god gives you a purpose, make a purpose driven life" sounds catchy right?
try something that is actually in the BIBLE or basic instructions before leaving earth for all my Sunday schoolers out there ;)
proverbs 16:9
In a mans heart he plans his course,
but the LORD directs his footsteps.
now i dont know about you my friend.... but trusting god... its prob a good idea...
and for those who dont have a relationship with god and dont really know if they can trust him... im gunna ask you one simple question:
when you get into your car what is the first thing you do
A) go to the bathroom
B) pick your nose
C) build a catwalk
D) put on your seatbelt
if you chose D) my friends .... lets just say trusting god is a little more important then putting on your seat belt
thank you all for listening
and for Mike Zuckerberg
LATER!
Seacrest out
